Masbate City, Masbate. — The NAPOLCOM 5 Inspection and Monitoring Team conducted an entrance briefing at the Sinagtala Hall, Camp Bonny Serrano, Masbate City on May 25, 2015, 2:00 PM. This entrance briefing marks the beginning of the inspection, management audit, and monitoring of activities of the Masbate Police Provincial Office (PPO), Masbate Public Safety Company, Masbate City Police Station, and the different municipal police stations in the province.
The entrance briefing was attended by the Officer-in-Charge of Masbate PPO, PSSupt. Prexy D. Tanggawohn, the PPO’s key officials, and the chiefs of police of the different police stations in the province of Masbate.
Ms. Myrna L. Guban, the NAPOLCOM 5 Provincial Officer for Masbate, introduced the following members of the Inspection and Monitoring Team:
- Atty. Flora F. Mangampo Remolacio, Chief of the Technical Services Division and Team Leader of the Inspection and Monitoring Team;
- Ms. Erlinda A. Cabanela, Police Inspector IV and Chief of the Monitoring Section;
- Ms. Shirley B. Aguilar, Police Inspector III and Chief of the Inspection Section;
- Mr. Ricardo R. Fontanilla, Police Inspector II;
- Ms. Eufemia A. Monasterio, Law Enforcement Evaluation Officer II; and
- Mr. Victor G. Tence, Administrative Aide IV.
Ms. Cabanela provided the attendees with an overview of the conduct of the inspection, management audit, and monitoring of PNP activities in the Province of Masbate. This activity will be done in the days following the entrance briefing.
For her message, Atty. Flora Mangampo-Remolacio gave pointers to the participants about matters that need to be done in order for the PNP to meet the Compliance Stage in its Integrated Transformation Program-Performance Governance System (ITP-PGS). These matters will also be covered by the Inspection and Monitoring Team during the conduct of its activity in the Province of Masbate.
In response, PSSupt. Tanggawohn mentioned that he felt privileged that the inspection, management audit, and monitoring of PNP activities will be conducted by the NAPOLCOM just after a week from assuming his post as OIC of Masbate PPO. According to him, he will use the findings of the Inspection and Monitoring Team as his guide and basis for introducing improvements and changes in the Masbate PNP.
The Team is expected to complete the inspection, management audit, and monitoring of PNP activities in Masbate by June 22, 2015.
