LIGAO CITY – The National Police Commission 5, Philippine National Police, Junior Chambers International-Daraga Chapter, and AIM Global conducted an outreach program at the DSWD Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC) and DSWD Haven for Women Center at Brgy. Nasisi, Ligao City in the morning of September 8, 2015.
The activity served as one of the highlights of the NAPOLCOM-PNP National Crime Prevention Week celebration with the theme “Krimen ay Tuldukan, Karapatan ay Igalang,” which focuses on the Community and Service-Oriented Policing (CSOP) System. The outreach program was also part of the celebration of the 49th Anniversary of the National Police Commission, with the program dubbed as “Project Angel.” The JCI and AIM Global rendered their valuable assistance to the NAPOLCOM and PNP by augmenting the goods provided to the beneficiaries.
During the program, Ms. Crescencia P. Deri, Social welfare Officer IV and head of Haven for Women Center, gave her welcome remarks. PSSUPT Marlo Meneses, Provincial Director of Albay PPO, and Ms. Daphne Aimee Lotivio, President of JCI-Daraga Chapter, likewise delivered their message. Dir. Rodolfo Santos, NAPOLCOM 5, on the other hand, gave the closing remarks.
The project “Pamaskong Handog ni Aleng Pulis” was also launched during the program. This project is an initiative of the NAPOLCOM-Albay Provincial Office, headed by Dr. Gianelli Besana, NAPOLCOM Albay Provincial Officer, and the WCPD Albay Provincial Office.
After the program, the residents of Haven participated in games prepared by the PNP, JCI, and AIM. The Ligao City Police Station, headed by PSUPT. Brenda Garcia, and the JCI-Daraga Chapter provided food for the feeding program. On the other hand, personnel of the PNP- Regional Health Service provided medical check-up on the wards at the RSCC. PNP Personnel from the PRO5-PCRD, Albay PPO, and Ligao CPS were present to take part in the outreach program and render their support.
The activity ended at about 12:00 noon.
