On March 15, 2017, NAPOLCOM R5 conducted the Entrance Briefing for the CY 2017 Inspection and Management Audit of the Police Regional Office 5 at the PRO5 Conference Room, Camp General Simeon A. Ola, Legazpi City.
The activity started with the presentation of the thrusts for this year’s inspection and monitoring including the actions taken on the last year’s audit. The criteria for the most compliant Police Office and City/Municipal Station awards, a NAPOLCOM R5 initiative, were also rolled out.
During the open forum, issues on Local Government Support to the PNP together with the concerns on combat duty pay were tackled. It was however emphasized that with the implementation of Community and Service Oriented Policing (CSOP) System, the local chief executives will be compelled to give support to PNP projects in their locality lest their deputation as NAPOLCOM representatives will be withdrawn.
PCSupt. Melvin Ramon G. Buenafe, Regional Director of PRO5 thereafter gave his message thanking NAPOLCOM R5 for the support and in giving them guide to be truly effective and credible, worth of the trust of the people they are sworn to serve.
The accomplishments of PRO 5, under the leadership of PCSupt. Buenafe were recognized by Director Josephmar B. Gil, Regional Director of NAPOLCOM R5 in his message. He thanked him for his initiative in improving the policing in Region 5 and for his continuous support to the Commission.

All the key officials of the PRO5 including the Directors of their Police Offices were present. NAPOLCOM R5’s Provincial Officers were also in attendance together with the Inspection and Management Audit Team.
